What if by this time next year, the leaders in your organization were truly transformed?
Your leaders don't or can't show up fully because they aren't sure what to do in various situations so they end up doing the status quo until there's a fire to put out
Your leaders are technical experts but the nuances of leadership – like turning conceptual visions into reality and ideas into results – aren’t currently part of their skillset
The business units have listed upskilling and improving the leadership cadre as a key organizational need year after year and, despite spending money and time on training, a true transformation has not occurred
Your leaders aren’t successfully advocating for their team needs or speaking truth to power in order to support the strategic business goals and prevent costly mistakes
Constructive conflict is not a familiar concept in your organizations – leaders are either going along to get along, spinning tall tales to make their team look good, or having demoralizing blow-ups that halt productivity
The concept that your leadership is responsible for nurturing and developing their teams gets agreement on paper but is rarely seen in reality, leading to succession planning, engagement, and attrition issues
Voluntary turnover is high and when leadership discusses the potential causes, the old adage that people don’t quit organizations, they quit bosses is rarely given any real consideration as the root cause
The organizational culture is disjointed and highly varied, depending on the business unit – some leaders have people lining up to work for them and others are always needing to hire because of high turnover
Each week will contain a training module with text, videos, exercises, and more designed to help you grow across a range of leadership capabilities.
You'll then complete the reflection exercises based on what you learned and put those reflections into action over the course of the week with your team.
Each month, there will be a live coaching call with all members of the cohort where you will be able to share your reflections, successes, and struggles and get support for moving forward.

COURSE LEADER
Dr. Mary Barnes has over 20 years’ worth of leadership experience across commercial, local, and federal government organizations, along with an MBA and Doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning.
This vast experience has given Mary a huge depth of knowledge in organizational change, change management, and strategy development to help teams unlock their true potential.
From simple team-building workshops, to over a decade of executive coaching, and even projects spent developing and implementing large transformational change initiatives – Mary has quite literally done it all!
By using this experience, Mary hopes she can help you transform your leadership capabilities, give you detailed insight into what works (and what doesn’t), and give you all the tools, training, and resources you need to help your team and your organization excel.
As a team leader, you’re likely a very busy person. Instead of forcing you to commit hours and hours (on top of your busy schedule) to your own personal development, I’m asking you to only commit 15-30 minutes every week.
This allows you to grow and develop as a leader every single week, yet without compromising your current schedule or completely burning out.
As you put what you learn into action and share your weekly reflections with your team, you will find they are learning and growing as well.
I can almost guarantee it! After spending more than two decades working as a leader across commercial, local, and federal government organizations, I’ve gained an in-depth knowledge of the types of obstacles leaders typically face.
By pre-empting the obstacles you’re likely to face, and giving you the guidance to overcome them in the most effective ways possible, I truly believe I can help you to become a more confident, stand-out leader.
Safe to say, I'm confident there are a ton of valuable insights you can learn from both your coaches and the other leaders in your cohort.
Just 15-30 minutes a week, for a year. Less than 2% of your workweek for a year.
As soon as you register, you will have access to the four bonus modules to help lay the foundation for the course. The cohorts will start at the beginning of each quarter - January, April, July, and October. You will get more information about your cohort's dates once you register.
This 52-week course is designed for team leaders and middle managers who are interested in transforming their leadership skills and unlocking their team’s potential for success.
It is important to note that, while this course is designed to keep you engaged with your team and not take you away from your work, this is a course that focuses on continuous learning and growth and you will be asked to continuously put your learning and reflections into action with your teams.
Traditional leadership development training is broken. It's been broken for a while. I don't think I've ever met a leader who hasn't had a horrible experience in a leadership program.
This program was created to address the most common complaints about traditional leadership development: you don't have to find someone to cover for you while you take a week or more off for training (only to have to work twice as hard before and after the training); you won't be learning about some outdated case studies - we'll work with the leaders in the cohort to talk through problems and successes in real-time; and, you won't have to save all the insights and ideas you get from training until "one day" - you'll be able to engage your team throughout the year.
This time next year will look a lot different from the way things look this year. What if your cohort and your coaches could help you systematically tackle any of the obstacles you currently face that are keeping you and your team from peak performance? Would that be worth taking the plunge and joining this innovative group of leaders and coaches?
Course access does not expire at the end of the year. You will be able to revisit specific weeks and download the resources even after your year is completed.
More than that, we are continuous learners ourselves and you will have access to any tools and resources that we add or update even after your training.
There have been a few folks who have gone through the program without any direct reports - they were a leader of an important project or were a leader in a different way. While we strongly believe that you can be a leader at any level, those folks struggled because they didn't have a team to engage with and share the exercises. They still received value and enjoyed the course - we were able to adjust the exercises to make sense for a leader with no direct reports. But, the ideal person would have a team of direct reports that they can engage with throughout the program.
The other consideration is that this is a year-long course and each participant will get out of it what they put into it. This is not a course to participate in if you are being volun-told to do some leadership. If leadership development is just a check-the-box item for you, this probably isn't the course for you.
Dr. Mary is the main coach for most cohorts. There are some cohorts with special requirements (security clearances or specific industry specialties) that require a different coach as a lead. But, Evolve has a team of amazing, experienced coaches that will engage with you both in live coaching calls as well as on the community platform.
One of the favorite aspects of traditional leadership classes is the networking opportunities. With the live group coaching and the group community online, there will be great opportunities to meet other leaders and network to your heart's content.
